Lowkey Useful is a collection of free tools operated under the name Lowkey Useful in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. This page explains the information involved when you use the site.
Your tool inputs and files
The current tools process your text, numbers, images, and generated results in your browser. They do not upload those inputs or files to Lowkey Useful for processing. Copying or downloading a result happens only when you choose that action.
Some tools can create a shareable link containing your inputs. Anyone who receives that link may be able to read those values. Avoid sharing sensitive information in a link.
Messages, suggestions, and feedback
When you send the contact form, your email address and message are submitted so I can respond. Suggestions and tool feedback send the information entered in those forms. Bug reports can include optional browser and display details; the report form shows what is included.
All submitted forms also include whether this browser has triggered the rapid-feedback limit and the most recent trigger time, when known. This helps identify repeated submissions. It is a browser-reported signal, not proof of your identity or misconduct.
Forms are handled through Netlify Forms, which stores submissions and applies spam filtering. Please do not send passwords, payment details, private files, or other sensitive information.
Information kept in your browser
The site uses browser storage for appearance preferences, whether the introductory logo animation has played, previous helpfulness votes, the feedback rate limit and its latest trigger time, and the draft-order reshuffle count. Your analytics choice is also saved in this browser for 180 days. Some values last for the tab session; others remain until you clear site data. Clearing that data resets the saved settings and feedback state.
Coin, dice, card, timer, and generated-code results are not saved as an ongoing account history. There are no user accounts.
Hosting and connection information
The hosting service receives connection information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address and request details. Hosting and form-service providers may process information outside your country. Their handling of service information is described in Netlify’s privacy policy.
Analytics and advertising
The site uses Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, only after you choose Allow analytics in Privacy choices in the footer. It helps me see which pages are useful and how the site performs. Declining analytics or closing the prompt leaves Google Tag Manager and Analytics unloaded. After allowing analytics, withdrawing that choice reloads the page to stop the loaded tags and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. Unsaved tool results are cleared by that reload.
Analytics records page views and helpfulness votes (the tool and a yes or no). It does not receive the text, numbers, files, names, or results you enter. Page addresses are sent without query strings or fragments, and the referring page is reduced to its site address. Google Signals, advertising features, and user-ID tracking are off, and Analytics data is kept for two months. Advertising is not enabled.
Google Analytics can use cookies and information about visits, browsers, and devices. See Google’s explanation of Analytics data safeguards. Advertising is a planned way to support the free tools; any advertising data practices will also be documented before activation.
Use, retention, and your choices
Submitted information is used to respond to messages, investigate problems, consider suggestions, and protect the service. Access is limited to operating the site and the providers needed to handle those tasks. Records may also be retained or disclosed when required by law or needed to address misuse.
Messages and related records are retained while needed for their purpose and applicable legal obligations. You can use the contact form to ask about information you submitted or request correction or deletion. Include enough context to identify the message, but do not send identity documents. Available rights depend on where you live; I may need to verify that the request concerns your information.
If you believe a child has sent personal information through a form, please contact me so I can review and remove it where appropriate. You can also clear this site’s browser storage through your browser settings.
Changes and questions
This page will be updated when the site’s data practices change. For a question about privacy, send a message and mention privacy in the message.
